Even when it doesn’t feel that way
Life IS benevolent. It IS the perfect, the divine, the way it is meant to be.
So when it doesn’t feel that way, what is the problem?
We have all been conditioned to believe that somehow we know better. The ego of humans (a word that refers to our limited self-image) decides “This should be happening”, “My way is the right way”, or one of my personal favorites, “This is the way God says it should be”. (Funny how the ego always seems to know what God wants.)
When there is a conflict between you and life, you’re wrong.
It is as simple as that. It is we who need the attitude adjustment, not life.
Imagine if every day of your existence began with the penetrating recognition that every moment of this very day was/is divine, full of benevolence, freshness and love. Every second unfolding yet more of the infinite mystery, perfect, precise, infallible.
Would not all the heaviness and conflict, and drama just fade into insignificance?
Brings to mind the words of Christ “Take no thought (don’t worry or be anxious) for your life; what you will eat or drink or put on… is not life more than food and the body more than raiment?”
I think he really meant that as a practical, reliable way of living.
Try it for yourself and see.
